[Linked in] May 26th K-REACH : Polymer exemption of registration/ notification

We would like to talk about the Polymer exemption of registration/ notification.
There is a difference between K-REACH and EU REACH for the polymer registration, in which the polymer itself is a subject to register to K-REACH and the monomer that consists of polymer is the subject to register to EU REACH.
Also, you should see if your substance could be exempted for registration or notification under K-REACH Enforcement Article 11 (1)-5. Check the flow chart we attached to check if your substance can be exempt from the registration. To check it, GPC(Gel Permeation Chromatography) test is necessary(Cationic, Mn, etc.). And if your substance is subject to exempt the registration or notification, you should prepare the documents to submit.

1. Information of polymer
2. Molecular weight determination test (evidence of average molecular weight and Mn less than 1,000 or 500 among conditions of exemption of registration/notification)
3. Non-reactive monomer analysis test (of the average molecular weight is between 1,000 and 10,000, and the monomer contains hazardous chemicals, key management substances, and new substances)
