Revised Notification on Consumer Chemical Products Subject to Safety Verification

The “Designation of Household Chemical Products Subject to Safety Confirmation and Safety and Labeling Standards” within the Chemical Product Safety Act [MOE Notification No. 2024-89, 2024.4.30.] was revised on April 30, 2024. Among the revisions, the following are effective from January 1, 2025.

1) Addition of safety standards of prohibited substances or volume standards in product content

    substances on 20 products, including detergents and more

2) Added mandatory precautions for use by product

    ▶  Deodorant /Bleach : Do not use (spray) directly on humans or animals.  

    ▶  Artificial snow spray : Do not light a fire during or after spraying due to possible fire.

3) Expansion of child-resistant packaging (CR-packaging), covering all capsule-type products

     (previously only limited to capsule-type laundry detergents)
