[Linked in] Apr 21st K-BPR : Approval Application Plan

Hi. Today, we take you through submitting ‘Approval Application Plan’ for Biocidal Active Substance (hereinafter ‘BAS’) approval under K-BPR. 

Anyone who intends to manufacture or import a BAS must obtain approval from the Minister of Environment before manufacturing or importing. However, in the case of an existing BAS, a grace period for approval can be granted by notifying the existing BAS. To maintain the granted grace period, you must submit an ‘Approval Application plan’, and proceed with the approval process within the grace period.
However, a company that has notified the existing BAS must submit an ‘Approval Application Plan’ within one year once the notified BAS is designated as the existing BAS. and the person who submitted the plan must properly prepare the requirement for approval according to the plan. For reference, in the case of notifying of an existing BAS that has passed 1 year from the designated date, the government separately designates and informs the submission date of the ‘Approval Application Plan’.
