[Linked in] August 6th K-BPR : K-BPR Household chemical product subject to confirmation 2

Good morning! Continuing from last week we would like to share about confirmation and notification of safety confirmation household chemical products. The one who wants to manufacture or import the household chemical products should get the safety confirmation approval. The full task card is attached.

1. Confirmation procedure
The procedures for compliance with safety standards that should be received first are as follows.
1) Preparation for checking safety standards: Preparation of application documents and product preparation (manufacturer, importer)
2) Application, submission: Review and submit the documents (manufacturer, importer, designated testing and inspection institution)
3) Confirmation of compliance with safety standards: Testing and inspection of safety standards such as chemicals and containers (designated testing institutions
4) Issuance of verification results: Displaying the validity period when appropriate (designated test inspection institution, manufacturer/importer)

Once the confirmation is completed, the confirmation result will be issued, and the confirmation report must be made within 30 days. The notification procedure is as follows.

2. Notification procedure
1) Notification submission (CHEMP): Confirmation result report, labeling design, ingredients, etc. (Manufacturer/Importer, Korea Environmental and Industrial Research Institute)
2) Confirmation of review: Reviewing, revising, and supplementing documents (Korea Environmental Research Institute, Manufacturing/Importer)
3) Issuing a certificate of report: Within 30 days of receipt (Korea Institute of Environmental Industry and Technology)
* Manufactured and imported after labeling in the product with the mark plan submitted after issuance
4) Distribution, sales, etc.: Labeling the product, such as the report number (manufacturer/importer)
