Hello everyone!
Today, we will look at the subject of the definition and the obligations of the ‘Only Representative’.
What procedures are needed when overseas manufacturers want to export their biocides to the Republic of Korea?
To make exports possible by complying with the K-BPR, the overseas manufacturer must appoint a person who has Korean nationality and has his/her residence (or business office in the case of a corporation) in the Republic of Korea.
So, the appointed person or company becomes the only representative (hereinafter, OR), and he/she will conduct involved work for biocides approval instead of the overseas manufacturers.
And the OR can conduct the process of the CBI if the overseas manufacturer doesn’t want to provide the information for AS approval plan and AS approval with the importer.
You can find the stakeholder map and overall process of appointing OR below images.
