everyone, this is Safety Assessment Solution Co. Ltd.
For this week, we would like to talk about the Tasks for whom a non-Korean
manufacturer appointed in revised Korean SDS regulations. And the person, we
called OR (Only Representative)
In Jan 16th 2021, this Saturday, OR system will be newly implemented
to provide KOSHA with substance information without going through domestic
importer as a way to protect the trade secrets of non-Korean manufacturer. OR (Only
Representative) shall prepare and submit SDS (Safety data sheet) or chemical
substance confirmation documents, and can apply for CBI non-disclosure approval
to K-OSHA(Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency).
- 4 THINGS OR MUST DO
1) Obtaining a certificate of reporting the appointment by an non-Korean manufacturer under K-OSHA
2) Providing a copy of the certificate of reporting the appointment to a Korean
importer who imports the substances included in SDS
3) Providing Korean importer with SDS reflecting SDS submission number assigned
from KOSHA
4) Providing
Korean importer with the results of the tasks performed by OR
